We are looking for an experienced, dependable nurse to join our team and provide clinical support across our communities.
What You’ll Do
As a Traveling Nurse, you will play an important role in supporting our residents, caregivers, and leadership teams. Your responsibilities will include:
- Set up and administer medications as prescribed by physicians
- Conduct medication audits and ensure medication practices meet company and regulatory standards
- Provide ongoing clinical support and phone consultation to supervisors, medication technicians, and caregivers
- Implement and support our nursing and caregiver training programs
- Conduct regular rounds to observe residents and ensure their nursing and restorative needs are being met
- Complete resident admissions, transfers, and discharges as needed
- Provide hands-on nursing support on the floor when needed
- Consult with physicians regarding resident care, treatment, rehabilitation, and changes in condition
- Collaborate with community leadership and care teams to promote quality resident care
- Travel to multiple Parallel communities throughout Michigan to provide clinical support and guidance
What We’re Looking For
- Current RN or LPN license in the State of Michigan
- Current CPR certification
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation with current auto insurance
- Basic computer skills; experience with electronic medical records/charting preferred
- Strong communication, organization, and clinical assessment skills
- Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively with community teams
- Compassionate, professional approach to working with seniors
- Willingness and ability to travel up to 75% of the time
