Bridgeway Park Lansing Senior Living Facility is looking for a Resident Care Manager. We are looking for a leader who can care for the residents and manage staff. Also, manager-on-call responsibilities when needed. Communication with family members is critical. Must be team-oriented, as supporting the Director of Nursing will be a significant part of the position.
Duties include:
- The ability to brighten someone’s day and create lasting friendships
- Assist residents with daily living activities such as bathing, grooming, toileting and transferring in and out of bed
- Ensure the proper execution of company procedures, policies and practices
- Provide support, training and direction to Resident Assistants and Med Techs
- Primary trainer for all new hires on shift and complete their training checklists
- Maintains communications with resident’s family and or responsible party to ensure medical needs are being met
- Ensures contact with resident’s attending physician when necessary and/or upon family request
- Assesses, monitors and follows up with residents who have experienced any fall, accident or incident; documents and reports as required and directed
- Ensures weight and vital signs are obtained monthly for each resident, monitored, and documented in resident record (QuickMar)
- Conduct regular rounds to monitor overall staffing quality and satisfaction
- Is “resource person” for all shift team members
- Communicate any concerns to leadership, bridging the gap of communication between shift and the management team
- Provide feedback to all trainees on shift regarding their progress and outcome of trainings
- Retrain staff as directed
- Assist with med cart audits, med technician training and reinforce expectations for Med Techs on shift
- Management of pharmacy cycle fill
- Manage inventory of all nursing supplies and provide leadership a list of supplies that need re-ordering at the end of the month.
- Assist with meal time
- Maintain the cleanliness of the environment which includes light housekeeping
- Maintain resident records by charting their care, condition, progress and problems
- Assist other team members with their duties
- Comply with all safety and health standards, including infection control procedures
- Maintaining staff levels to meet the needs of the residents, assisting with daily management of clinical schedule
- Ensures oxygen tanks are stored safely, exchanges resident’s tanks when empty and monitors to make sure liters of oxygen are at prescribed levels
Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED
- Basic computer knowledge
- Ability to multitask
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Must be able to effectively communicate and document in English
- Must be able to verify eligibility to work in the United States
- Must pass a criminal background check
- Must have a current TB test and Physical (if required by the position)
