Responsibilities/Qualifications

Oakleigh of Macomb Senior Living Facility is looking for a Resident Care Coordinator. We are looking for a leader who can care for the residents and manage staff. Also, manager-on-call responsibilities when needed, someone who’s not afraid of challenges! Communication with family members is critical. Must be team-oriented, as supporting the Executive Director will be a significant part of the position.

 

Duties include:

 

  • Work with the families, management, and care staff in all aspects of operations, including setting priorities and job assignments.
  • Monitor each department, communicate and interpret policies, evaluate performance, provide feedback, and assist coach, and discipline staff as necessary.
  • Maintain current knowledge of State Regulations and ensure compliance in all surveys.
  • Monitor labor costs.
  • Demonstrate independent judgment and discretion, problem-solving, and thinking outside the box.
  • Responsible for tracking attendance and effectively carrying out disciplinary action where appropriate.
  • Communicate and enforce policies and procedures.
  • Supervise caregivers & med techs on the floor.
  • Cover multiple shifts and create staff schedules.
  • Interview, make hiring recommendations, and orient new staff.
  • Assist Manager in all projects as needed.

 

Requirements:

 

  • Experience with leading a senior living community.
  • Proven leadership and communication skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to provide personal care for residents when needed.
