Homestead Health Care is hiring Caregivers in our Senior Living Facility in Fort Gratiot, MI 

 

Join our team at Blue Water Lodge Senior Living Community in Fort Gratiot as a Med Tech/Caregiver. You will play a crucial role in providing exceptional care and support to our valued residents. If you have experience administering medications and have a passion for working with the elderly in a welcoming environment with competitive pay rates, we have the perfect position for you! You will also attend a thorough orientation and training to excel in your role. 

 

Currently we are looking for someone that is flexible and can work days and afternoons. We offer care from 6am-2pm and 2pm-11pm. Experience passing medications is a requirement!

 

 

As a Med Tech you will be in charge of:

  • Providing assistance to residents with daily living activities such as transferring in and out of bed, bathing, dressing, toileting, and walking
  • Administering medications and injections to residents based on physicians’ orders recorded in medical charts
  • Ensuring the cleanliness of the environment which may involve light housekeeping duties
  • Comply with all safety and health standards, including infection control procedures
  • Monitoring for changes in residents’ conditions and promptly communicate any changes to the supervisor
  • Following schedule, assisting residents with repositioning
  • Adhering to procedures regarding documenting of medications accurately
  • Utilize good judgment in providing client care and ensuring their safety
  • Assisting other team members with their duties as necessary
  • Responding to call lights and assess residents’ needs promptly
  • Obtain meal trays and assist with eating
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor

Requirements we ask of you:

  • Ability to pass a criminal background check
  • Minimum age of 18 years old
  • Experience in medication administration and working with seniors
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Reliable transportation
  • Availability to work every other weekend is required
